A full day on a sailing boat, a weekend or a multi-day holiday aboard the wonderful Cantieri del Pardo Grand Soleil 40 ´Neverland

If instead of being a boat it were a Swiss watch, we would never need to wind it: for the Grand Soleil 40 time never seems to pass, it is truly a beautiful and timeless boat, fast, fun and resistant to even the worst weather!
This 11.99 meter long boat is a perfect choice both for those who aim primarily for speed, and for those who make comfort on board something that absolutely cannot be given up.
We are talking about a sailboat that has won many regattas in its class over the years
in the Mediterranean Sea. Neverland in particular also counts a 3rd place at the Giraglia Rolex Cup.
The performances and the welcoming spirit of the interiors are therefore the best business card of this Grand Soleil 40, but these do not reduce the elegance of a boat of great charm and of functionality and comfort at the highest levels for a yacht of this type.
Thanks to its 3 fresh water tanks it can load enough water even for long cruises and the 50-liter / hour watermaker gives unlimited autonomy. The diesel tank holds 250 liters of fuel and therefore guarantees an exceptional range for a 40-foot boat.
This model was designed by Massimo Paperini of Duck Design and takes maximum comfort from the available spaces.
The deckhouse represents the right compromise to ensure sufficient volumes of space internally without sacrificing the aesthetics of the external lines. The space for sunbathing is spacious. The large spray hood protects from the sun and splashes that can come when sailing in rough seas.
The large awning offers shade during the hottest days of the Mediterranean summer.
The cockpit has generous dimensions, especially in width and all seats are equipped with waterproof Sunbrella cushions. The transom, so conceived
essential, it offers a good walkable surface and a small beach that helps you get in and out of the water.
The teak deck gives charm and beauty to this fantastic boat.
Inside, once you have passed the companionway, you will immediately notice a refined and well-kept environment below deck, as in all the Grand Soleils.
The furnishings are made with quality materials and, as required by the traditional style of the Cantiere del
Pardo, most of the cladding is in solid wood.
The folding dinette provides additional space in the living room and offers two comfortable sleeping places once the table is lowered.
The forward cabin with bathroom and shower is a welcoming space: the bed has the headboard facing aft.
The aft cabin, thanks to the large double bed, guarantees the comfort that only a boat
larger can offer. Aft we find the second bathroom with
shower.
The galley equipped with a very large cockpit refrigerator and 3-burner gas stove and oven is located along the port side and has a very long and deep worktop.
The stowage spaces are many and large, we find lockers along both sides of the boat.
A double cabin has been created in the stern locker on the left side of the cockpit (the standard one in the 3-cabin version) which can be accessed directly from the hatch in the cockpit or from the aft bathroom. This modification allows the boat to accommodate up to 8 people to sleep.
Neverland is equipped with Webasto heating in all internal areas, a watermaker and a boiler for hot water.
The boat is equipped with a 40 HP Yanmar engine with Saildrive and folding blade propeller it does
reach the boat a cruising speed of about 7, 5 knots. Fuel consumption is very limited, at 2000 rpm the engine consumes only 6 liters per hour.
The sail plan is very generous, thanks also to the increased mast and offers excellent performance even with little wind. With 10 knots of wind, sailing upwind, the boat sails easily at 7/8 knots of speed. The mainsail sheet is armed with the “German style” circuit and this certainly makes maneuvers more comfortable.
A gennaker is available for the uprising that can be walled up directly in the bow of the forestay or on a pole with the spinnaker circuit.

The boat is equiped for the offshore navigation and has a Arimar dinghy with a Yamaha 4HP outboard engine.
