HOLIDAY BY BOAT ISLAND OF ELBA
The Tuscan archipelago is the largest marine park in Europe and includes all the main islands of the Tuscan Archipelago: Elba, Giglio, Capraia, Montecristo, Pianosa, Giannutri and Gorgona and some smaller islets and rocks: Palmaiola and Cerboli , near Elba, the Formiche di Grosseto north of Giglio, the Scoglio d’Africa or Formiche di Montecristo, the Ants of Capraia, Palmaiola, della Zanca.
A “unique” archipelago, because each island is its own reality, with its own character different from the others and rich in a wonderful collection of natural environments, vegetation, culture, history and art.
All the islands are also part of the Pelagos Sanctuary for marine mammals, a protected marine area that extends for 90,000 sq km, established thanks to an agreement between Italy, the Principality of Monaco and France.
The departure is from Monaco and the time to reach the archipelago is more or less the same as it takes to reach Corsica. You can therefore also take advantage of the nocturnal navigation here accompanied by the reflection of the moon on the sea and with a little luck you can also sail. A unique experience!
